Welcome, I’m so glad you made it! I have so many things to tell you and I have so many questions for you, but I’m sure you want to know what I’m doing here, so you get settled in with your favorite drink, and I’ll fill you in.
Here’s what happened
Writing is something I’ve done since I can remember. I just assumed I would always write. We’re so confident when we’re wrinkle-free. But, like many teddy bears, this dream got loved on hard for years, pushed aside, nearly suffocated, and mostly forgotten.
I never stopped writing, I just stopped believing in it. Writing, and doing nothing else to earn money? It was the equivalent of being asked to audition for a role in a film because the director, vacationing in the exotic hills of eastern Kentucky, saw me coming out of Piggly Wiggly, and knew I was perfect for the role.

We evolved into a species with micro computers in our hands. We could write anywhere, at any time. If you couldn’t get anyone to like it, you could just publish it yourself.
So, I wrote. I sent out queries, I wrote for non-profits, for my boss, for my friends, for their friends, for a blog, for a friend’s blog, and I even wrote a letter once, breaking up with a girl, who a friend of mine was dating.
It was amazing to me that so many people didn’t ever want to write. It was also super cool that I could write for someone else and it would make them happy because, they not only didn’t have to write it, but they were so relieved they didn’t have to think of what to write. I loved that feeling. The ability to set someone free from a cage they created for themselves, wow! My new dream was to do that forever.
I began to see the strangest thing. The fear of writing, not knowing what to communicate to someone else, the lack of time people have to communicate with each other, the fear and misconceptions people have about being honest with one another, and ourselves, those are all cages. I was in one myself.
The fear of authenticity in communications is real for everyone. But, I learned through writing for others and through publication of my most authentic piece ever, that transparency was a valuable tool for success.
Using my skills, authenticity, and willingness to be transparent, I intend to educate others on the inherent freedom they have in their lives and in their businesses. I am praying that my readers and clients will gain the knowledge and courage to:
- operate in their own gifts,
- walk away from relationships that aren’t working,
- speak up when they witness injustice,
- provide comfort to those who are scared or lonely,
- and help bring perspective, hope, strategy, or even humor to those who may be losing faith.
